Where Great Coffee Meets Good People: Lil' Red's Fall Community Tour

Coffee has a funny way of bringing people together.

It shows up in the morning before work. Around a kitchen table with friends. At the local coffee shop. At a fundraiser. On the sidelines. After a long day. Sometimes it is the reason people slow down for a few minutes and catch up.

That's one of the things we love most about coffee at Lil' Red.

We believe great coffee should feel as good as it tastes. And that means more than roasting good beans. It means sharing them with people, supporting the communities around us, and showing up for the places and events that bring people together.

This fall, we're doing plenty of that.

From coffee festivals to community walks, expos, and a memorial golf tournament, the Lil' Red team will be out and about across the Southeast. So if you're looking for an excuse to get out, meet some good people, and drink some really good coffee, we've got a few places to start.

First Stop: Wilmington Coffee Fest

This one is a big one for us.

September 19 marks Lil' Red's first time at Wilmington Coffee Fest, an event built entirely around the thing we happen to love most: coffee.

Think of it a little like a beer festival, except instead of working your way through breweries, you'll be working your way through roasters. Attendees receive a mug and get to sample brewed coffee from participating brands, making it a pretty good day for anyone who takes their coffee seriously.

We'll be there alongside a lineup of medium and large coffee brands from North Carolina and South Carolina, which makes this a particularly exciting opportunity for our team.

And we're not just showing up to pour coffee.

We'll be competing in the cold brew competition, serving our cold brew on tap with cold foam toppings. We'll also be brewing pour overs featuring Tanzania and/or Ethiopia Natural, giving attendees a chance to experience some of the coffees we're particularly excited about.

And, because no good coffee festival should end without taking something home, we'll have 12 ounce bags of coffee, hats, and mugs available as well.

In other words, come hungry for coffee.

We'll handle the rest.

But Wilmington Isn't Our Only Stop

While Wilmington Coffee Fest is our biggest priority this fall, it is far from the only place you'll find Lil' Red out in the community.

We'll also be supporting several events alongside our friends at Capitol Coffee.

September 17: Charleston / Mount Pleasant Expo

We'll be in Charleston supporting Capitol Coffee at the Charleston / Mount Pleasant Expo.

It's another opportunity to get out from behind the roaster, meet people face to face, and connect over coffee.

September 19: Charleston Walk for Water

On September 19, we'll also be supporting Capitol Coffee at the Charleston Walk for Water.

Different event. Different purpose. Same idea.

Show up. Support the community. Have a good time. And, naturally, bring good coffee along for the ride.

September 21: Jerry Mosley Memorial Golf Tournament

We'll wrap up the stretch on September 21 at the Jerry Mosley Memorial Golf Tournament, again supporting Capitol Coffee.

We're always happy to find a reason to spend a day outside, but getting to support a community event makes it even better.

And yes, we're hoping somebody remembers to bring coffee for the early tee time.

Why Community Matters to Lil' Red

For us, being part of the coffee community isn't just about selling coffee.

It's about being there.

It's meeting the people who drink our coffee. It's talking with other coffee lovers. It's supporting businesses and organizations doing good work in their communities. It's getting out from behind the counter and sharing the experience that makes coffee so much more than a beverage.

That's especially important as Lil' Red continues to grow throughout the Southeast.

We want to be a coffee company that people recognize not just because they see our bags on a shelf, but because they remember the people, the experiences, and the good times that came with them.
